In short, search for the Delsey Axiom 30" upright (~$100). There used to be some other off the shelf models that would work, but they've disappeared. You'll see reference to them in similar online articles covering the same topic.

I use this huge 32" case for my Brompton. Seems to work w lots of room for clothes helmet etc. Just fold the Brompton, chuck it in an Ikea DIMPA bag to keep stuff clean and thats it! But it weighs 19kg w just the bag n the Brompton. So depending on airline, may be tight but certainly doable. Usually, my check in weight is abt 23kg.
