I bought a Dahon 3 at a thrift store for 8$...it needed everything. I got home and removed/disposed of all of the cables; tires, tubes; all of the rotted stuff. This is my 1st 3 speed so i did not realize that the 3 speed cable was a specific length until after it was gone...... Can anyone give me an idea how long this cable should be??

I think most internal hub shifter cables come complete - i.e. inner, sleeve and both ends attached. You'll need to see what you can get to fit the hub you have, and estimate which of those lengths would give a reasonable cable run.
