Naming your bike...........
I've got a vinyl sign machine and always wanted to slap a name or something personal on my bike. Right now I'm on a business trip on Ie Shima island Japan and have been here nearly a month and a half. My bike (Dahon MuP8) has been creaking and its been driving me crazy and I've thought it was the crank bearings and it really made me nuts.
Other day I was cranking up a hill and came out of the saddle which I just really don't do on a folding bike and the creaking and grinding stopped. I figured out it was the Cane Creek Thudbuster suspension seatpost. Thank God its not drive train or safety related. I took some measures and silenced it.
Now I'm cranking around the island and the bike is dead silent.
Hence the new name of the bike and decal which will be going on soon.
"SILENT BUT DEADLY"
Pics to follow. But not for a bit until I finish this trip.

Hmmm. In the same vein, don't name it the 'Quiet American'. (Eng. Lit. bicycle ref)
'Bedstead Nullity' is a good anagram though.

I've been wanting to get name stickers for the Brommie and the Univega, named Vendetta and Charlotte, respectively. Also, I want a Decepticon icon for Vendetta.

Mine are known as the red one and the green one. If I was to put stickers on them, it wouldn't be their names, since I don't have the imagination to come up with something cool, it would instead be the kind of slogan I have on my sig, or maybe "The revolution will not be motorised" except that that's the slogan of a bike shop, and even if I do agree with their principles, it goes against mine to advertise.

The model name of my Dahon Espresso was too perfect to name it anything else. It plays to my geeky love of musical theater since one of the characters in the show "Starlight Express" is "Espresso."
