But...but...platypuses are cute, cuddly, and wouldn't hurt a child. I know because I had a stuffed platypus toy when I was five.

Luckily no feral drivers with poison spur. I hate those.

Australia is home to some of the largest spiders and most poisonous animals on the planet due to their relative isolation during the period of continental drift. I would not mind spotting them a few Moultons.....LOL

I think the first Aussie Rules match I ever saw was a VFL Grand Final between Collingwood and Geelong, televised on ESPN sometime in the 80s. Not having been there, I don't have a feel for which teams' fans are Neanderthals, which bandwagon jumpers, and so on - but you've just straightened me out on Collingwood!

Geelong supporter here, refined and gentlemanly, that's me.

Back on topic: Us Aussies may have missed the Sesame Crunch ride, but I'm hoping to finally meet up with Jur in the not too distant future and go for a ride in my countryside. It's not a mountainous as some of Jur's rides, but there is some nice scenic routes.

In order to try out the Swift, do you have SPD shoes?

I do, I use them for R20, MTB and tandem

Next two Sats booked out = 1x family commitments and 1x Club road race Championships

Should be free after that.... I hope. Let me know what sort of ride and distance you want to do so I can plan the appropriate route.

BTW, there is an Audax ride at Gisbourne on Sat 13th November, choice of 130+ or 80+ kms including climbing Mt Macedon, beautiful area to ride. I'm hoping to do the 130+ km, if you're free come along.

And last bot not least the highly venomous road-racer Stevegor who makes a Black Mamba snake look timid when on a ride

That sound like the business. I'm going to pen it in.

Who's running it? I don't see it on the Audax Australia calender.

[edit] Don't worry, found it.

Sorry Jur, not an Audax, as you've found, but I still might do it anyway.
Hope to have the "new" old road bike for that ride.

Just entered online for 130 km.
BTW, Cycle Sport run the racing set up here in Vic, as well as this recreation ride
