Dahon 2011 Speed D7 question
I am considering using my annual REI dividend toward the purchase of a new Dahon Speed D7.
This will be my first folding bike, but the design seems perfect for use on Light Rail and potentially for air travel to allow greater mobility when I travel for work, but don't rent a car.
In reviewing the online information for this bike I notice that it comes with a rear rack. It will be a little while before I can get to REI to check out the bike. I am planning on using this bike with my Arkel 2011 BUG backpack/pannier.
Does anyone have/used both and does the pannier fit the bike? Did you have a problem with heel strike?

Samo,
Thank for the pointer. I just ordered the rear traveler rack. I had a chance to stop by REI yesterday and try my Arkel Bug on the standard rack and it wouldn't fit, the rack was just a little too short. I don't think any of my panniers (Arkel Bug, Arkel Shopper, and Orlieb Backroller) would fit...
Should be purchasing the bike next week, about the time the new rack should arrive!
