I usually dont do this .... but I want my bikeforum friends to have the first bid on the very very last speed TR model 08/09 with Joule generator wheel, lights and and and
for the unbeliveable closeout price of 657 dlr.... ITS the LAST One and Dahon just sold the last ones as well. which means its the end of a super deal....
Also although a little more stock yet but getting fewer and fewer the venerable Curve SL..I have ONE 2010 with derrailleurs left in stock ... thats it for that model. The 09 ones with internal gears I have a few more. but they also trickle outta here and will be surely missed after they are gone... THERE WILL BE NO 2011 CURVE SL ... if the cirrent ones are gone .. there will be only a 3 speed model left !!!!
For all fence sitters this is the time to act....there are some bargains out there, which will fizzel away shortly
end of spam and back to the regular program

talking about the USA only of course ... the XL was gone a long time ago .. the SL is being pronounced dead after the current stock is gone..... and as I said the derailleur model is only ONE the others a few more but nothing to really bragg about ...

heheh they are the factory I am the dealer they dont need to explain anything to me ....
most likely simple reason. that they have so and so many models they want to carry, have in stock for their dealers and not more. The good sellers stay in the program the ones which didnt sell as well get replaced by new models ....
Also Dahon bases their models on dealer feedback at the trade shows, if most of their dealers dont get exited about one model it most likely doesnt get carried over.

Yes, I suspected that the reason was the obvious one - if a model doesn't sell well, Dahon does not keep it around. I guess the more relevant and interesting question is - why didn't it sell well? Is the folder buying market just not willing to pay $1000+ for a 305-wheeled bike?

most likely a combination of a lot of things , sometimes its the color which is chosen. We have in the past year pushed internal geared hubs and than not just cans but the premiere offerings. Seems that the market is much smaller than the forums and bulletin boards might suggest. ( I love cans as long as they are good cans ..lol )

Bikes: Brompton, Dahon Vitesse D5
I just picked up a second-hand curve SL (the older IGH model) so I'll be putting it through it's paces. It's taken a lot of servicing to get it running properly but first impressions are very favorable. Weird as I was riding a Curve D3 a while back and found it significantly harsher than my 20" Dahon, but I'm not getting that with this model; it's surprisingly smooth-riding. Potholes do look scarier though.
