Any Gobike owners?

Just picked up one of these things, and it needs to go on a serious diet.

Hoping there might be some fellow owners with mod tips, as the company has gone belly up and there is little info out there.

First to go are the tires. I came with these huge Kenda Krackpot 20X1.95 hoops installed. Overkill for a dual suspension bike. The only info I could find on the rims is thay are Alex X101 20".

Any help appreciated.

In all likelihood, they are ERTO 406. That gives you a lot of good options for swapping tires.

The tyres will have the size on them somewhere.

Forum member ~Chop~ is the guy you want to talk to .. he's the GoBike guru and probably has logged more miles and has the most experience listening to idle promises, dealing with parts supply and other ride-ability issues.

Hi Bruce -

Yep, had been hoping Chop would chime in, tho I understand his Go had been stolen. Have run across many of his contributions to these forums while(whilst) doing research over the years.

His website is a must-see for cycling enthusiasts. A true nutter, in the best sense of the word.

PS - do you have a shop/store?

Thanks, gives me something to go on. When I was a lad, 20" was just 20".

Interesting read, that link. Have you read "Neuropolitics", by Dr. Leary?
