rear OLD is 76 mm, upper seatpost diameter is 30.4 mm ( more or less )

Wow that is low...! (I was going to say are you sure but I guess you wouldn't make an obvious mistake like that) I suppose the front is also 76mm?
I guess that eliminates any possibility of ever getting more gears on the back. Perhaps a Schlumpf for the front?
