Dahon lockjaw bolt replacement.
The off-centre tightening bolt of my Lockjaw finally rounded out so the Allen key can barely turn it. It seems to be a common failure of the part.
I was able to get a spares pack pretty easily in the UK. This is sufficient to replace all the removable parts of both hinges.
The new OC bolt, which is of good quality had some minor changes in design, so I also switched the pivot bolt that it slides into. All the other parts were unchanged.
Its an easy to do, 5 minute job and the new closure is very solid.
I downloaded a pdf of instruction from Thorusa but they seem to have been removed. I still have the pdf if anyone needs it but better ask the author at Thorusa

Thread resurrection -
I have tracked down parts to replace a rounded out lockjaw OC bolt, but the UK suppliers don't have instructions and won't perform this repair on bikes they didn't supply themselves.
Does anyone know where to find instructions for this repair, or is it foolproof even without ? I'd rather leave it locked than mess up a repair and make the bike unusable.

Lockjaw Hinge
I know that this is an old thread but I hope that you can help me.
I have just purchased a used Dahon Cadenza with lockjaw hinges - I received the bike in assembled position without any fold / unfold instructions. In desperation I undid all bolts to get the bike unfolded and into my car.
Now I have found the Dahon instructions that show how to fold / unfold by turning the OC bolt 180 degrees and how to adjust the adjusting bolt but I can't find any instructions on how to set the pivot bolt.
I screwed the pivot bolt all the way in and then the hinge would not open - do I just unscrew the pivot bolt just enough for the hinge to open ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Google it. I think the ThorUSA site has it too. Btw, there are two types of LockJaw hinges.

I figured I'd hop on this thread and see if anyone had any success with their lockjaw issues. I am attempting to replace my broken lockjaw assembly. I have removed all the parts including the plate and the screw securing the OC bolt, but I cannot remove the OC Bolt.

I just bought a Cadenza which is really a great bike, but the OC Bolt is totally rounded...And so I ordered the Lockjaw Repair Kit which came without instructions and I can't find anything anywhere... Does anybody still have a PDF or knows where to find one?
Thanks!
