In the past I purchased two BF's. One through a local dealer (45 min away) that BF referred me to, and and directly. Had better experience with the direct purchase (no middle man when selecting the bike features, no need to wait for the dealer to assemble the bike, no need to drive to the shop to pick it up, no sales tax, etc). The 30 days return policy is one more reason to do so.

I already bought the bike and paid cash for it, so I don't understand what you are proposing, vik.

Michael, have you tried giving them a call or stopping by the shop to ask directly? Sometimes it takes them a little while to reply to questions via e-mail.

the shop might have a 30 day return policy type of thing if you're lucky.
if not, it seems like the bike is in excellent condition and is pretty much new so you should be able to sell it for fairly negligible loss.
but it's always sad to see someone sell a bike because they need the money. good luck.

The boss of the shop contacted me this morning and said "Sure, we'll take it back". So I took it in there this morning and they cheerfully refunded every penny. Way to go Warm Planet Bikes!

Bicycles are just tools to me. If I get another job where I need another folder, I'll buy one then (but I will wait a while next time to make sure the job is solid!).
