ebay's a funny thing sometimes...
So I lost out on bidding for some (only used once) powergrips at £16.25 plus £3 postage, total £19.25
So I bought some brand new £21.99 inc postage, with sale of goods rights, and in my preferred beige.
I am not criticizing the person who won the auction - after all, my limit was £15, or £18 with postage in total.
But is funny isn't it how some ebay bargains aren't really that great ?

Santa Cruz had a blow out of frames and bikes recently. Immediately after the sale was over the same bikes/frames popped up on Ebay for closer to full price. Buyer beware.

I get the biggest kick out of people on eBay. What I've seen happen several times is that a seller lists a used item for sale, gives a thorough description of it and even includes the price of what it would cost new. Yet during the last several seconds of the bidding war, people enter bids that exceed the item's new list price.

I had that happen with an amateur radio I was selling a bunch of years ago. New, the list price was something like $900. I set a reserve of $400. The rig was about 10 years old, and by no means a classic or otherwise desirable radio. Two guys bid it up to $1600. I fully expected that I'd never get paid. Imagine my surprise when a legitimate payment showed up in my mailbox...
