how much should i sell my folder for?
Decided to sell my folder and buy a bigger bike.
How much should I sell it for?
Downtube nova 2011
Great condition
Upgraded single digit 5 brakes and levers
Upgraded wtb speed v gel seat
Upgraded schwalbe marathon tires
In Vancouver so you can't even buy this bike here without paying for duty and shipping. (And bikes are fairly expensive here)

Compare it to what else is comparable and available in the local market, both new and used, and try to come up with a price that will be attractive enough that potential buyers won't be turned off to, but that is high enough that you have a little room left for negotiation, since this is the usual pattern in sales of used items. Without knowing what else is available in your market, it is impossible to suggest a selling price to you, combined with the fact that the bike is apparently not available there, so there may be no built in market for it. If it was worth shipping, which I don't know, you could always drive it down to Blaine WA., and ship and/or otherwise sell it to a US buyer, where you might find more interest. I'd be shocked if the US border people would charge you any duty bringing it across the border in your car.
Good luck.
Good luck.

what you paid all in is a good place to start (all taxes, shipping, duties, exchange, upgraded parts, labour, etc). then you can factor in either depreciation as it's not a brand new bike, but if it's a rarer bike or harder bike to get then you can look for a percentage uplift.
you also have to factor in that Downtube is selling 2012's for $329, and $80 shipping to Canada.

From: On the road-USA
Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG
For something that new, depending on condition 50%-80% of new retail is going to be about where it is at.
