New wheels...

I've been away from the forum for so long, now this is my first post on the foldies group.

I just got a set of new custom wheels built, a 406 sized, Hope Pro 2 Evo hubset and Primo spokes build wheels!
The original Quando cup-n-cone wheels were starting to feel rough (in less than a month!)

A side view of the bike with the new wheels...

And a slight frontal angle

And the business end...

Whoopee!

Interesting frame design - disk brakes plus canti studs and a front derailleur hanger. Would be ideal but it looks like an Asia only model.

that looks like a re-branded Dahon formula s18 but with cantilever mounts. When you say the wheel were feeling rough what exactly was the problem? did they go out of true or creak excessively?

thugpipe, the original wheel's cup and cone bearings were less than smooth and the rear wheel's spokes were of really low tension out-of-the-box to the extent that the spokes rubbed and they could be heard as long there is a pedaling force applied! i wasn't too keen to rebuild them, although i could adjust the cup and cone preload - so i built up this set of wheels to take in the Hope wheelset. i've never ridden any wheel whether 2, 3 cross - to have spokes chirping when i'm riding them, so i took it to be touched up by the bikeshop which later i commissioned to build the Hope set.

freebooter, i wouldn't be too certain this is a Formula S18 copy, but this frames are all over china, i reckon. it ain't a true blue Land Rover, so i tell people it's a LAN Drover

ttakata73, thanks for the compliments
