Yeah, I edited the part out about the thread starting in 2005. Either I was mixing it up with another thread, or the dates were showing up weird. Anyway, if you are doing another batch, I'd be interested in one. I like Porschetoyz frame a lot (gives different drivetrain options).

I'm at least 6 months out from being able to pull the trigger on something like this, but will watch the thread with considerable interest. Has there been any talk of regularly producing them on a semi-commercial basis?

The horizontal track end plus derailer hanger gives almost the same options. There are people who don't like this setup because of the slight hassle of removing the rear wheel. But once you figure that out, it isn't much more effort compared to vertical dropouts.

Rich, Ben: What frame sizes would you be interested in? The original Swift design is 55cm top tube. I added an inch to 575mm, but other custom lengths are no problem. 2 other lengths are visible on the photo as well, 59cm and 55cm (the left-most 2 frames).

There are 2 fork styles as well, one like mine, and another which will take big apples in 406mm with a unicrown style. I hope to have pics in the next couple of days.

I'd have to give this some more thought. One things for sure, the top tube of my Alumaswift was too short. I'm guessing an effective top tube of 58cm would work best. I'd almost certainly go with the unicrown fork (loves me the BA). But really, I'd need to get this past SWMBO...

I'm 5'8", with average arm length & body proportions. Not sure what size that translates to since I've never ridden a Swift.
I'm curious about the split in the seatstay on Porschetoyz bike, designed to allow a belt through the triangle. Once he removes the bolts, arent the ti tubes way to stiff to open up enough to allow the belt to pass through?

I tried hooking up a used Citizen Gotham with belt drive and Shimano internally geared hub. With mixed results. The Citizen doesn't have chainstays, so that was no problem. I thing the issue was me being new to the belt drive thing, and other aspects of the Citizen frame that were difficult to work with. I've since converted it back to chain/derailleur drive and am selling it. It wasn't that convenient as a travel bike, and it gave a rather clunky ride. This ti Swift may be my 2nd try at belt drive, but if it doesn't work out, I still have an awesome frame for a chain drive.

For the fork, I would probably want to do 451s on this.

I expect to get a belt through the joint it would be a 2 person job. I wouldn't expect much of a difference compared to a big-wheeler since the Swift seatstay and chainstays are same or similar in length.

For 5'8 I expect the default medium size would be best. Thee are 2 options for the stem riser, one the curved integrated stem which does not give you options for reach adjustments, and a straight riser same as the Swift version, allowing the use of a stem of correct length. If you know what reach you prefer, a curved one with your reach requirement can be spec'ed. Basically around the basic frame, *everything* is customisable.

Forks for V-brakes for 406mm wheels, one with both V-brakes and disk brakes. Big Apples will fit on this design. The straight blade fork will of course also accept 406mm wheels but are not quite wide enough for Big Apples.

Hello Jur,
I'd prefer the straight stem riser with bottle "braze-ons". Fork and frame should have disc brake mounts (and option for caliper brake as a backup). I don't need canti-studs. I'd like the s-bend stays in the rear triangle. Man the pictures of these frames, your bike, the parts look nice.

Oh yeah! Everything looks great. There is something about raw-ti that just looks so beautiful and the fabrication & welds seem really,really clean. It's really cool that Jur was able to sort so many special order and custom choices.

These are truly bespoke works of art - a dream-bike!

i been looking at upgrading my swift folder sorta how i ended up in this tread just ordered a set of 451 carbon forks, but now im really interested in acquiring a ti swift frame and basically continuing the upgrading sort of speak, is there a timeline for the next batch? im not in a hurry, looking forward to seeing the builds

Wow, that is superb! The black and silver is working very well.

How easily did the crown ring and the headset cups go in? They have tightened up the tolerances, on my development frame the cups went in too easily and the top cup developed play which I got rid of using Loctite.

The cable routing is a bit different to what I implemented on mine. Post some close-ups. I hope the bottom section of the RD cable routing clears the chain in all gears? I did stare at that design for a long time and eventually concluded it will be OK.
