Theoritically you can use v-brake with road lever, only you have to position the brakepad VERY close to the rim, not really recommended anyway. Travel Agent is pretty good, does what it supposed to do. |

I am using 105 components except for the brakes. The front is a cantilever (Tektro), which works very well with the road brifter (only if you got the setting right, first time it gave me terrible fork judder, repositioning the brakepads helps a lot!), and for the rear I am using v-brake with Travel Agent (works well with good stopping power, though the pull isn't as nice as the cantilever). I am gonna replace the rear soon either with another cantilever or a mini v-brake, either one should work fine with road brifter.
