Dahon handlebar diameter

About a month ago I bought a used Dahon "stowaway" and it's handlebars are too small. I went to my local co-op and got a longer and swept back handlebar for the bike. It seems too small. I read that Dahon had a propriatary sized handlebar. Is this true? What size is it? John

now there are sone cheap 22 mm bars from a different era floating around
