Chiorda Folder brake caliper size

Looking at pictures of other Chiorda folding bikes I notice the brake calipers are quite long. I need both front and rear calipers.

Any Chiorda owners with information on these?

(Don't ask me why! I like a challenge and it was cheap. I painted it the same color as a 1970s Mini and it looks great.)

Picture with a caliper (not tightened) too short for this application:

read your bible.

in short, you need to measure the distance from center of the mounting bracket to the center of the rim braking surface. that measurement will tell you the reach needed for the caliper.

you are most likely going to need a long reach BMX type caliper brake like the tektro 984. this brake caliper has a reach of 68-89mm.

in the words of the prophet, the honorable Sheldon (may peace be upon him):

"lo, though we walk through the valley of the shadow of rusted and abandoned frames, measure twice; order once."
