Sunrace 3-speed internal hub?

I was looking at the specs for the Dahon Curve D3, and it mentioned that the 3-speed internal geared hub is called Sunrace. I was under the impression that the hub on this bike was a Sturmey Archer. Does anyone know anything about Sunrace? I hope that Dahon isn't skimping quality with inferior components.

Sunrace bought Sturmey over a decade ago and, if anything, have improved quality.

Sunrace now owns Sturmey Archer. So saying it is a Sunrace hub implies it is SA.

Sun Race was already big .. thats how they swung the buyout.

Not being an Insider, IDK if they made their own IGH of their own design ,, before owning all the British machines and designs.

'skimping' lets you dramatically lower the selling price .. & still be profitable..
