Gaerlan

I came across one of these recently..it's a collapsible bike, not folding. I first discovered Jay Gaerlan and his website when I started looking into folding bikes in 2008. At that time he was selling upgraded Dahons, but he and his website (and original collapsible design) seem to have disappeared now. Does anyone know the history of this endeavor?

Bikes: Many Downtube Folders :)

I'm curious as well. He sold our mini's for some time.

Thanks,
Yan

I had him build a 451 wheelset for my Swift a few years ago. 3k+ miles so far and not a hair out of true.

There's a "JGaerlan" who posted on this forum for a couple of years but nothing from him lately:

You could try sending him a private message, it may forward to his current email address.

He did close his store. His webpage for sometime had a notice they went out of business. I recall a blurb saying that he was looking to re-group elsewhere.

Gaerlan Custom Cycles - Home of Travel and Folding Bikes

I have not heard anything about J. Gaerlan.

Hmmmm ... I recall a photo journal of his site. Did he use this on a trip to NYC?
