March Photo Contest

Sorry if this has been done recently and/or to death, but...Scene from/seen on a bike ride. You didn't have to take the photo while in the saddle pedaling or on a multi-day ride, but rather while you were out of the house doing something involving riding a bike. One photo that you took.

ONE PHOTO ONLY, PLEASE

I have so many, but decided to go with this from somewhere in North Dakota because it was so new to me at the time.

Sunrise at the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Rode the greenway up from Tusayan in the dark. Yep, that's snow on the ground, and nope, I was not dressed appropriately-- summer bibs, no less. It was 16º. And beautiful. (My apologies to small monitors.)

I usually keep my riding and photography separate, though I often do them in the same places (at different times). This is from a 3-day ride my wife and I did on a Quebec rail trail a few years ago.

Good eye.

The photo of PCH, with the clouds above, is just south of the Mugu Rock.

The photo of the rock, precariously perched at the top of the hill, is just north of The Rock.

The “road shot” is my submission. Sorry about the double post.

My photo has its own soundtrack.

"Hopelessly passing your time in the grassland away

Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air

You better watch out ... There may be dogs about ..."

(camera lens is badly smudged, my apologies to any photography geeks who may have noticed)

You better stay home and do what your told.
Get out of the road if you want to grow old because some jerk in a car will hit you.

@the sci guy; really like this shot, something about the sharp, near focus and color snap against the soft background.

Nice one.
