Real Lovers' Heaven in Vienna

Have you guys been to Vienna? I've never been there yet but definitely, this lover's paradise is one of the places I really want to visit someday.

--------------

Real Lovers' Heaven in Vienna

Forget Italy; it's not the only place where you can search for real love. There's a beautiful city found in Austria that will make you want to walk in the clouds while you continue to search for that fitting moment. Vienna is a cultural paradise in Europe with sophisticated infrastractures and refined urban living, which fascinates more tourists and even lovers to travel the lovely country of Austria...

Forget Italy and Austria, the place to be is in Spain on the Costa Brava or the Costa Dorada, or France on the Cote Vermillion or the Cote d'Azur.

A co-worker of mine just got back from a dream vacation cruise ship touring all around Italy. He said he was not as impressed with Vienna as he thought he'd be. Too built up, commercial, etc... He said Portafino was much prettier (and from the pics he brought back, I'd agree).

I've heard really nice things about Bratislava. It's got the old Europe feel, and is not yet as touristy, commerical, or built up as places like Vienna or even Prague.

I just realized your post was about "Vienna"....for some reason I was reading "Venice". Scratch everything I said...it was in reference to "Venice", and not "Vienna".

Ok, and since my response was based on "Vienna", change that to "Venice", too!

He didn't say Venice was bad...and it did look nice....just not quite as "quaint" as Portafino.

I spent 3 months in Wien (Vienna), and I absolutely loved it.
Very nice city, very safe too. I think that the biggest crime when I
was there was that someone put some graffitti up on one of the old bldgs.
Ok, a few must see places:
Fischerbrau biergarten (take the tram towards Grinzing/ 19th district) has a wonderfully soft
beer, has to be tried.
Brauner Hoff best coffeehaus (imho) right around the corner from the spanish riding academy (lipenzaners, sic)
Alte Wein cafe (old vienna caffee) excellent goulash not what you think served with Semel (roll).
kleine cafe ok food, great atmosphere some 80's or 90's indie icon movie filmed here.

I've been to Bratislava and it's ok, everything was relatively inexpensive there (compared to wien which
is expensive), not much to do when I was there (just after the country opened up), rather bleak
and depressing. The old city is gorgeous but I would have hated to stay there.
dora, if you want more info send me a PM.
