100s help build 100,000-balloon 'Scream Park’ in Irondequoit

Erica Bryant
Staff writer

(September 27, 2007) — Around 60 balloon artists from around the world and several hundred local volunteers will join Henrietta balloon artist Larry Moss as he builds a 10-room, 10,000-square-foot, walk-through haunted house made out of 100,000 balloons.

The haunted house, to be built in Medley Centre, will open Oct. 19. It will be called RE/MAX NY Balloon Manor 2007’s “Elastic Park – the World’s First-Ever Balloon Scream Park.”

The grand opening will be from 3 to 9:30 p.m. For the rest of the schedule visit www.balloonmanor.com.

Tickets will be $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Children three and under are free. Discounted advance tickets are available at Wegmans.

Proceeds will benefit Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital, Teens Living with Cancer, Al Sigl Center, and Children’s Miracle Network, a RE/MAX International official charity benefiting Golisano Children’s Hospital.

since this is for a scream park, they should all not brush their teeth prior to blowing up the balloons.

Hallitosis Hell.

I have been known to have a balloon(s) attached to my backpack (well! Had to get them home somehow - couldn't leave the poor things there!)
