Get out and spend your money people!!!

Some of our fellow citizens are down and out because of this bad economy. Don't be a tight ass if you don't need to. Pay your LBS a visit tomorrow. Buy that new Gary Fisher you've been dreaming of. Drop an extra quarter in the tip jar at the coffeeshop. Let's go!

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Hey, I like the sound of that! Someone quote me.

I'm saving money because I can't afford to spend much right now. I have some $20 handlebars ordered through my LBS, though I'm starting to think they're never going to arrive.

I bought a tire . . . from England. The global economic engine is starting to roar again.

This is almost as stupid as the ads that the mayors and city councils run on the radio here in the SJC area telling everyone it's their civic duty to go out and buy a car now.

Sorry, if my job is going to get the axe, I'm going to think about food/utilities/mortgage instead of bicycles, especially new ones.

Every month I pay Bank of America and CitiBank hundreds of dollars each in finance charges, in addition to my share of bailout money. In exchange, they each increased my interest rate. In addition Bank of America went above and beyond the call of duty and lowered my credit limit.

Those are two of the worst big banks. Chase and Wells Fargo have been OK to me during these tough times.

I'm trying to buy a cd off ebay but the vendor seems to only accept a permutation of paypal that I don't use. I even put a positive control on my paypal account by successfully buying a single disc brake through it.

I think this thread is imploring people to help prop up the US economy, not Colombian drug lords...

Three things you shouldn't forget for the coming ZombieEconomically Depressed Persons Apocalypse:

Lawn chairs.
Popcorn.
Ammo.

Numbers 1 and 2 are for sitting on your/someone's roof and watching the chaos. Number 3 is if they come too close and try to take your popcorn.
