Budwiser

After about 10 Buds and an awesome local band, I hereby declare Budwiser as the best beer on the face of this earth

Budweiser? Have you ever tried drinking beer instead? I can warmly recommend the original Budojevicky Budvar, for example.

After a major beer festival, a group of master brewers decided to go out for a beer.

The brewer from Corona sits down and says "I would like the world's best beer... Hand me a Corona." The bartender dusts off a bottle from the shelf and gives it to him.

The brewer from Budweiser sits down and says "I'd like the best beer in the world, give me 'The King Of Beers', a Budweiser." The bartender slides one across the bar to him.

The brewer from Coors says "I'd like the world's best beer, the only beer made with Rocky Mountain spring water... give me a Coors." The bartender reaches down, finds a Coors and places it in front of him.

The guy from Guinness sits down, thinks for a second, and says "Give me a Coke."

The bartender is a little taken aback. The bartender figures he must be hearing things, so asks the Guinness brewer again what he'd like to drink.

"I'd like a Coke, tanks..." The bartender, stunned, gives him what he ordered.

The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask "Why aren't you drinking a Guinness?"

The Guinness president replies "Well, I figured if you guys aren't going to be drinking beer tonight, neither will I."

Whenever the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings used to play one another..The Maple Leaf fans would taunt the Red Wingers, with threats of throwing American beer at the overzealous fans, when disagreements raged..ONly good for a good fight..

Hey now, there are some good American beers. I don't consider Bud or MDG one of them, but I am quite the fan of Sam Adams, as well as many microbrews.

Unfortunately, I'm sipping on a Bud light right now.

"sipping a bud light right now" ??
pardon my naivete but what exactly is the alcohol content of american beers? in canada, most beer (even the american ones) are at least 5%, but i've heard that bud etc are weaker if they're purchased down south. so my question really is, how much less than 5% is a normal beer, and then what would the difference be between lite beer and, say, pop.

i'm sure there are good american beers--don't get me wrong. but living in canada i don't get to taste your microbreweries, which i'm sure are much better than national brands.

i think it can go as low as 3.2%. in some states (i think utah and colorado) sell lower alcohol beer. someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i think that's right.

Grocery stores sell 3.2, but liquor stores sell regular stuff.
