Why do you hate days off work so that you can go cycling so much?

Personally, I love having some extra days off work. We'll get in some cycling ... maybe some canoeing ... if the pools aren't too busy, we might go for a swim ... depending on how things work out, maybe we'll even have a day at the beach ...

The vast differences in weather and seasons always fascinated me about this rock we live on.

Once in Royal David's City stood a lowly cattle shed,
where a mother laid her baby.
You'd do well to remember the things He later said.
When you're stuffing yourselves at the Christmas parties,
you'll laugh when I tell you to take a running jump.
You're missing the point I'm sure does not need making;
that Christmas spirit is not what you drink.

So how can you laugh when your own mother's hungry
and how can you smile when the reasons for smiling are wrong?
And if I messed up your thoughtless pleasures,
remember, if you wish, this is just a Christmas song.

halloweens fun, Ive worked on thanksgiving (night) for the past 11 years in a row.

christmas is ok but... I hate new years. In 2000 I lost my mom to leukemia on dec 30th after a long ugly battle. 9 years later I lost my dad to cancer on the 29th after an even UGLIER/soul crushing year. christmas was no fun those years either.

however my bday is dec 20th so my wike always hooks me up w/ the combo present. last year it was a carbon kayak paddle, two years ago she got me my Zondas. this year ?????
