My wife is former Navy. Does that count?

FTW, my glaucoma denied my attempts to join the Army in '89 and then the Navy back in '01 or '02 (post 9/11).

Anyone gonna own up to 'kicked out' instead of 'retired'?

Suppose it depends on your definition of "kicked out".

Not sure if it counts but: CAP 1988-1992

Did one "tour of duty" of 7 days, assisting FEMA right after Hurricane Hugo. My squadron was baby-sitting a food depot, watching out for looters.

Being civilians we had no guns. The looters had freaking AKs. But we blinded them to hell with our Standard Issue USAF flash lights and called the National Guard for backup. It was awesome!
