About Tom Stormcrowe.

I'm sorry that I didn't post this earlier but I wanted to wait for permission to do so from his family out of respect.

His mother gave me permission to let all of you know that Tom lost his battle and his tired body can now rest.

See this thread as well:

I will miss Tom. His posts and his journey convinced me to try out cycling and ignore the sad, fearful voice in the back of my head telling me not to get a bike. He was encouraging, and kind, and humourous and I appreciated his advice and wisdom. And his smoked foods. Oh those homemade pastrami's! The world is a bit dimmer without him.

Rest in peace, Tom. You did us a lot of good. I hope we gave some good back to you.

Bless you, Sui. It is sad news but not unexpected.

He was a good friend to many of us.

A fighter.

A thinker.

A fisherman.

Just went in to check Tom's FB page like I do everyday and read the sad news... I never had the opportunity to meet him in person and that leaves a hole in my heart! Special man... but part of me is glad that his struggle has ended and he can rest in peace. Let's make sure this website stays his legacy and that it goes on. Tom would love that!

Rest well, Tom, you fought so hard. Thank you for being a friend, and for listening to my problems, when yours were much worse and harsher. You will be missed by everyone here, prayers for your family.

Respectfully,
Bill

Very sorry to hear this. I've "known" Tom a long time on these forums ... almost a decade ... and although we never met in person, I counted him as a friend. He will be missed.

Ahh Machka! I totally agree - never met him personally but counted him as a friend. Much as I do you too. I have friends via website's from around the world. Be well!
