Maximizing size of Avatar

I'd like to make the avatar in my posts appear larger. Many members have good-looking, large avatars, mine is microscopic. I resized the photo to 64x64, shows as tiny. I loaded a larger image, and let BF resize it, still tiny. Tips? Tricks?

Thanks!

A larger avatar is a perk of becoming a paid forum member. Bike Forums - Paid Subscriptions

I'm not a paid member but my avatar appears to be larger than yours. I think the problem is the picture you have chosen. Perhaps it can't be enlarged any more? I don't have the answer but I'd start there
