how to cut and paste from a thread/post

how to cut and paste from a thread/post

I see them, but cannot get the
cut and paste
to properly post with original posters name attached in the box. Help.

You actually have to use the Quote feature. Either click the "reply w/quote" link at the bottom of the post you wish to quote, or click the button and type =original poster's name immediately before the first ].

I do appreciate the assistance-but my online tech skills are few and far between-once more with detail please-I get the idea behind included the entire post in the reply-it's the original posters name and specific quote I'm challenged on. Many thanks.

If you want to do it manually you type the following (using square brackets, ie. '[' and ']', not curved ones): (quote=pgpdir) then the material to be quoted, then (/quote).
