I'll look for a compatible plug in. vBulletin doesn't currently support that.

You're going to need to be more patient that than.

You are still seeing this?! I have not seen this issue return in forever. Could you provide a screenshot for me to send to the appropriate group the next time you see it? If you could get as much of the screen as possible, that would be great.

The chat thing sucks. Crashes/freezes every 5 minutes. Extremely annoying!

There's a chat thing?

Luddite 09-07-09 04:15 PM

Yep.

Where would one find that?

We used to have one years ago - like IIRC or something - or maybe that was bikejournal.com??

I've never seen the chat function. Is it on the menu somewhere?

Tom Stormcrowe 09-07-09 11:00 PM

Look right above Foo, in the Lounge Section, or just go to http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=276

I haven't found any instructions here on how to insert a link to a picture url. It can't be that hard, given the number of pictures I see. If I insert the html code in the message, will it be parsed? Down at the lower left corner, it says that html code is off. Am I being punished or something?

Tom Stormcrowe 09-24-09 02:35 PM

See the postcard iconj on the text box? Click that and paste the image URL in the dialog box and click OK, or use photobucket and paste in the [IMG] [/IMG] code.

Yeah so I got a message about an expiry notice on my trial membership, and decided to get the full membership. It still billed me for the trial reoccurring. What do I have to do to fix this. I like the site, but I would rather not pay twice for the subscription.

Tom Stormcrowe 10-12-09 11:29 AM

cancel the $3 subscription through paypal. That will close down that recurrence from happening again, an dmeantime, the time already charged for will credit to your account at BF.

Cool thanks!

Hi,

Simple way of explaining: All the letters are getting smaller every time I visit BF. I do not have this problem with any other site I visit. As if screen resolution is getting higher. I don't know if these are the correct technical terms, but I am squinting now, that is how miniature everything has become. I am running Firefox version 3.-something on Windows Vista Home.

When I open BF in a 'private session', which I think hides my IP address, all is normal.

What is going on here?

Rollfast 11-02-09 09:41 AM

Was reading the "Ask Holly" thread and noted page 104 is listed but does not come about...it only goes to 103.

I'm getting this almost everytime I click on basically anything. I can't get to my control panel, into threads, etc, without reloading about 5 times until it works.

Never had this before. I'm using FF 3.5.5, I tried restarting FF. I'll try restarting my computer, but since it looks like a server error I doubt it will help.

edit: Well, as soon as I posted this, the problem cleared itself up. Not sure what changed.

You must have pissed someone off.

Tom Stormcrowe 11-10-09 07:09 PM

We're in the process of network upgrades and are experiencing spotty service at the moment, flatballer. I'm also having issues and I'm the Site Admin.

No Brian, nobody is pissed at anyone. ;)

The site admin was never immune to the database issues. Of course, I know one that actually caused a few when coding in ads...

I regret to say that IMHO the upgrade is an epic fail so far.

It took me a couple of tries to reply, so I second your opinion.

Tom Stormcrowe 11-13-09 08:49 AM

The problems aren't associated with our database, as I understand it. The tech team's been working on it for the last two days. It's a network issue, apparently and affecting more than just us.

Tom Stormcrowe 11-13-09 08:49 AM

Finally got a post in!

It has great moments in between the long drawn out craptastic ones. Any word on an estimated time for resolution?

Tom Stormcrowe 11-13-09 08:59 AM

Not yet. I won't hear til later today, at least. All I know is they are trying very hard to get it all working.
