Technical issues
#51
I have been unable to post in 50+ since about 8pm this evening (eastern daylight time). I am able to log on and off the forum and change things on my control panel but any attempt to post just sits and sits...................
edit: started just a couple of moments after a previous post in another thread in 50+.

With Firefox the forum doesn't work at all. Only possible to access forum through Internet Exploder.

No word yet on what the issue is, but everything works fine for me. Thanks for your patience.

Also a newbie here...can't post new threads since earlier today, July 10.
Whether it's in Firefox 2, 3, or IE 7, on two different computers, the results are the same. I hit submit, and immediately, I get a "server can't be contacted" error. No delay whatsoever.

Every time I try to make a post with about more than about as many lines as this post, I get this message:
Safari can’t open the page “https://www.bikeforums.net/newreply.p...=439436” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection, which sometimes occurs when the server is busy. You might be able to open the page later.

I haven't been able to send anyone a private message for the past several hours. All I get is the standard Windows message that "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page." I get the same message whether I'm logged in at home or at work. I also got the same message when trying to post to the Tour de France forum.

I can send a PM so long as it's brief.

Its still bad here. I can post in some forums, but not 50+. Any attempt to post results in a spinning arrow that never stops.
Others have new posts still appearing in 50+ as I can read them without problem.
I have verified that the problem exists at other computers from different locations.

i jam my thumbs up and back into the tubes. this way i can point my fingers straight out in front to split the wind and attain an even more aero profile, and the usual fixed gear - zen - connectedness feeling through the drivetrain is multiplied ten fold because my thumbs become one with the tubing.

Intermittent difficulties on 50+
A "quick" reply just shows the never ending circular arrow
An "advanced" reply gives a "Can't find the web page" error.
Does it have anything to do with PCad?

I suspect that it an issue with one server and certain forums and functions are on that one while others are not.

You might think about putting an announcement up where everyone can see it. That would probably cut down on your email.
