How to find threads that you posted to?
Hi. How do you find thread that you posted to? For example, let's say that two days ago you posted to a few threads. Now, you want to check to see if anyone has written in those threads. If you can't remember which subforum the post is in, how do you find the threads you posted to?

Click on 'User Control Panel' in the top right of the page - shows all your subscribed threads (you are automatically subscribed to a thread when you respond to it).

i jam my thumbs up and back into the tubes. this way i can point my fingers straight out in front to split the wind and attain an even more aero profile, and the usual fixed gear - zen - connectedness feeling through the drivetrain is multiplied ten fold because my thumbs become one with the tubing.

This doesn't work for me. In fact, I can't even find that I am subscribed to this very thread. Here is what I do. Can you try my steps in your control panel to see if you get the same?
1) Go to my control panel by clicking on "Private Messages" in the upper right of the screen under my username. Is there an easier way to get to the control panel?
2) Once in the control panel, on the left navigation, I click on the link "List Subscriptions". The following page that loads shows, "Subscriptions (0 Threads)" in the drop down list box
3) I click on the link directly underneath the list box described in the step above. The link is "View all Scubscribed Threads"
4) The resulting page shows the same info as listed in step 2 above "Subscriptions (0 Threads)"

You can go up to 'Thread tools' (below, and to the left of 'Private messages'). Click on Thread Tools, and click on 'Subcribe to this Thread'. That takes you to a screen which allows you to select the manner in which you would like to be notified. You'd probably want to check instant notification by e-mail...
Also, if you want to find your own posts, you can go to 'Members list' at the top of the page, and click on 'Search Members' on the right hand side. Type in your name, and it will take you to the page where you can find yourself. Click on your username, and it will show "Find all posts by bellweatherman", and 'Find all threads started by bellweatherman'.
Hope this helps.

I must have an older version of the control panel than what you guys have. I got into my control panel and I don't see any link that says, 'Thread tools'. I do see the 'Private Messages' link however. And I looked to the immediate left and below and did not see anything that has the words 'Thread tools'. I do see the navigation for the control panel with all its links on the left hand navigation, but there isn't anything in the control panel that has the link 'Thread tools'. Are you sure we aren't on different pages or different versions of the control panel?

- You could go to the Members List, and search for your own username. When the result comes up, click on the Find Posts button.
- You could also scroll down to the bottom of the main page, where the list of currently online members is. Click on your name. Then, in the Forum Info box, click on Find all posts by (username).

Are you saying that when you are viewing this page, that you can go to the top of this page, and not see thread tools? I thought that it was standard...

Sorry, this took me so long to respond to. I can't find any of my posts after 4-15-08. And yes, I cannot see anything that says thread tools in my control panel. I looked for a long time and pressed CTRL-F and did a search for "thread tools". Nothing.
