I get this a lot, but not all the time when I post ONCE. I wanted to know if others are getting it.
I've tried a google search and forum search but no luck.
Is it just me???

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.
Yes, it's happening to others as well, and should be addressed in a couple of weeks. The code fix is in process of QA testing now on a test database and will go in with the next update after I return from vacation.

Thanks, it makes me feel a lot better! I just got a new laptop and the old one was doing lots of weird things, one of which was spurious "double click" in all kinds of applications. Originally Posted by Tom Stormcrowe

While this problem was only in BF it had me worried.

It's happened to me every single time I have posted today, probably a dozen times just today.

I first reported it back in January. Tom replied at that time that it was a known problem they were working on.
Two months to fix such an error??
I've been preaching, "Be patient with the development team." since the big "upgrade". But this is beyond the pale. It smacks of serious management issues.

See the announcement.

I'm now getting this almost every post. Whatever the "fix" was merely made things worse.

Clean or replace your mouse device or change the sensitivity setting in Windows>Control Panel>Mouse.
YES, there is such a thing!
You can also open Display and adjust the video resolution settings to compensate for various levels of errors. Same with the video driver.
Reinstall a mouse driver in Device Manager or upgrading/rolling back/doing a System Restore are also options.
You can also change the mouse to see if the mouse is a Fred. Freds are easier.

Doesn't make sense if every other site/program works but this one.Originally Posted by Rollfast

For me, the problem seemed to go away for a while maybe a week or so ago, but lately it's back. I mostly use the "quick reply" box though. I can't recall if I've seen it when using the "Advanced" UI.
EDIT: It didn't happen when I posted this. Maybe it's finally fixed?

It ain't fixed. I'd say 3 out of 4 posts have this error for me. I just have to go back to the thread via the link that indicates where I am in the structure of the forum. I use quick reply exclusively as I don't need the features of the advanced reply.

For those of you that this is happening to, I'll need some of the following data:
You can PM this to me or email it to me, either one. That will help eliminate some of the possible variables on this since it's definitely not happening to more than a few members at any time.
- Your browser
- connection type
- region (general, I don't need your addresses.
) - is there a time of day it happens more or less frequently?

Somebody is trying, no doubt. I think what Tom has tried to say is that there is either there is conjestion on the net at periods or maybe there's a Party partay over in plasticland and I don't know.
Perhaps someone else has a tidbit to share? I don't surf from an office and have IE7.
All I truly know is I need laundry detergent and a nap.
EDIT: I also know I'm posting and my light is OFF.

Not fixed.
1. Minefield 3.12b (64-but version of Firefox)
2. Cable modem
3. Atlanta
4. Not that I can tell. But the failure rate isn't constant. Sometimes it happens a lot, some times it doesn't.
It's not the mouse.

Still getting it. It is NOT a bouncy mouse button; if it were, it would happen on many different forums. It happens even if I press the "Post quick reply" button with the keyboard. Still happening about 80% of the time, from multiple machines.

Happens to me on any browser...
What "fix" was done? I run a couple of forums myself using vbulletin (4.0.2 and 3.8) and haven't seen this before.

It happens to me on every post, but I've gotten used to living with it. Please get the fix in a.s.a.p.
