Apparently something got altered with your page setup during the last update. I now have to scroll left and right to see all of BF. Just by a quarter inch or so, but at times it's annoying. Plus, now having the left/right scroll bar appear at the bottom of my screen takes up vertical real estate full time as well.

For your testing purposes, I'm currently running a 19" widescreen monitor in 1024 X 768 resolution.

(And before anyone says it, yes, I realize I could increase my resolution to the point I can't read the screen or even go buy a bigger monitor. But what I'd really like to do is go back to viewing BF like I did last week. )

Check to see if any of your settings have been changed, like "Compatibility View". Also, have you had an adblocker or script blocker update recently?

Nope, nothing. No updates, and even turned off my ad blocker to see if that was the culprit. No go. I honestly think it's in the design.

I can tell you that 90% of the time when I've had a page blow out its borders on one of my or my clients' sites, it's been the because the header or footer banner was modified. The person doing the modification has a bigger monitor, runs a higher res, or just doesn't notice the page getting incrementally wider.

The only thing I see that's been modified on BF lately is the addition of the "donate to Japan" verbiage. Can that be wide enough that it's pushing the "Advertise on BF" link to extend the border? You could try tightening that up by just dropping the two "a"s and the extra trailing spaces. That'd net 4 character spaces and at that font size, that's about the distance we're talking about.
