Framebuilders - Ones You'd Recommend?
Hey Everyone,
I'm building out a website on bicycles and wanted to include a list of the best framebuilders around at the moment. I was hoping to include a short bio on the person/company with a link to their website.
I've got a few of the bigger names but also wanted to find some of the lesser known guys as well.
If you could post their website below I'll take a look and add them to my list
Looking forward to seeing some of the great craftsmen that I've not yet stumbled across!
Thanks in advance
Mike

25 years ago there were regional bike builders who made their own frames, in UK (when I visited) and sold them in their Retail Shops
thats done by now retailing Imports has become the Norm.. Right?

I agree that some of this effort is already out there, been done many times. But keeping any list up to date is the long term challenge as both current info and the new to market/folding up efforts are in constant flux. Additionally the subjective aspect "the best framebuilders" is always a touchy topic. In the industry there are various hurdles or requirements before access to manufacturer account/pricing or sales tax collection is achieved. These requirements are without social drama, although have social impact. Perhaps a reconsideration to the criteria is in order. Or hooking up with an already published list and offering your time to update, confirm current status and update as needed. Andy.

Are you just listing US builders? or to include UK & Europeon I don't know the current number of Italian builders but in the mid 80's to mid 90's when I "spannered" for various continental pro setups the list was in the region of a telephone directory.
