Could a 29er fork be built from...
Could a 29er fork be built from a bolted crown (a la Bontrager) like this one:

Can you get that part retail?
You could just use 4130 tubing, probably .049 wall, I'm assuming that the stock being held by that is a round tapered blade? There is a thread on another forum about high end custom 29er forks being made with straight tubing, and BMX type DOs.

It is really interesting.
I have a usable crown but was wondering what blade could be use safely.
