Canaboo, that is a really nice looking job. is that gold leaf in the lugs? nice effect.
|
Thanks. Yes, it is gold leaf. Looks a bit like a blotchy yellow paint job in pics but in good light it is obviously gold. I was trying for a look that appeared like a gold vein exposed in black rock or coal.
May have been better to lay it in under the final wrap of carbon and expose it with sanding but I'd have been losing stuff that's worth the price of...gold. |

Got the fatbike build rideable for Global Fatbike Day, this thing feels awesome..

Интересно сделан подседельный болт. А на каких трубах рама? Ты же в Питере живешь?)

Hi Guys,
I'm pretty new here. Please check out my work. I'm just getting started and I have a long ways to go. This is my crit frame with Möbius (staggered hellenic) seat stays. The drive side is stiffened so less pedaling energy is lost to the frame flexing and it still retains a comfortable ride in the saddle. Let me know what you think, Thanks! I'd just like to take a moment to thank nosnoma for making me feel completely inadequate.

Hey,
I have been building as a hobby for a little while now. I am definitely still at the beginning of the curve but have been pretty happy with what I have been able to do so far. I was on Frameforum, and participate on Vsalon a bit. Just found this place (oddly enough) and saw some familiar names. Here are some pics of my more recent work. Thanks for taking a look! -Jason https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7422/...7a40fbd7_c.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3787/...b8f3c1ab_c.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7457/...bbb0190c_c.jpg |
Hi, here are pictures of my first frame, I hope that soon there will be some more :)

Custom touring racks on a custom built Santana, inspired by my mentor, Arvon Stacey...
Rear: http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikes...acks%20(4).JPG Front low rider: http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikes...acks%20(6).JPG Rear position puts the weight behind the steering axis and stabilizer also serves as a fender mount to eliminate wire stays. http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikes...acks%20(8).JPG http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikes...acks%20(1).JPG "Portage" rack I built for the Pugsley some time back... http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikes...rack%20(2).JPG There is a 650B rando build in the works for a customer as well as a Dawes Kingpin that is nearly complete after being modified to run 24 by 1.75 wheels instead of the obscure 500A wheels it was originally fitted with. The Dawes should be back from powdercoating in a bout a week. |
I love this thread. Awesome looking builds.
|
Nice bike you guys.
|
Sxty Fiver- Interesting racks on the Santana. I like many of the design points. I'd probably make a couple of detail changes but then I even find fault with a bike i assembled a day before... I've built only a few racks and found that if can get the set up with a production one I'm happy. The front rack taht sits far behind the steering axix is a pause of thought. Andy.

Bamboo Mixte

Hi. I'm new in this Forum and just wanted to share my first bike… a Bamboo Mixte. Not yet ready (have to dismantle everything to give it an UV coat and also make the cable stops with carbon fiber) but it is rideable...
