I have a ti-frame designed for single speed that I would like to add gears to. I would like to have cable stops welded on for front and rear derailleurs on the top tube, seat tube, chain stay. Does anyone have recommendations for any company or any person that could do this for me? Are there any ways to do this myself safely with off the shelf adhesive stuff if i buy the stops myself?

If you're at MIT, have you tried looking up Mike Augspurger at One Off Titanium? He's in MA. You could also try Independent Fabrications.

curious what spacing this is. Is there a derailleur hangar?

thanks for the replies guys. i haven't had a chance to act on this quite yet.. I tried IF in the past and they turned me down. I will try one-off.

spacing is 135 in the rear, disc only, paragon replaceable derailleur hanger with EBB.

One-off is too busy with handcycles to do frame modifications so I guess I will try Seven next. If Seven turns me down as well I will try Dave. Thanks guys!

You could go with Shimano's new 11 speed internal gear hub, it comes in a disk and I think the spacing is 135.
Spacing on a Rohloff is 135 too. Both are available with a disk and they have fantastic gear ranges.

You would have to zip tie the shifter cable on your frame, but you would have gears with no modifications and if you ever wanted to take it back to single speed all you would have to do is swap out the rear wheel.

you'd have to ship it to Central PA, but I suspect Hubcap would do it for you. He does very impressive work.

hopefully I won't have to ship it anywhere. I've seen problem solver backstops before but don't really want something like that on the bike.
if there were some strong epoxy to bond the stops to the frame that would rock too.
