Nervous in the service

I just sent a 90% deposit on a custom frame. And I am very nervous,
even better, I get to stay that way for months.

Ever see a bike with the Liquid Crystal Burnt Orange color? I was thinking about trying that, it reminds me a bit of a color Schwinn used
a long time ago.

I was also thinking of having the bike's name painted on, Randy Noir.

why 90%?
This is unusual!

That is an odd deposit amount- on the bright side though, orange is the fastest color!

I'm retiring this year, got the money now, prob won't have it later.

The bike will be lugged, and I was thinking of using a contrasting color or chrome
on the lugs.

Do you think black would work? I like what Rivendell does, like their use of cream colored lugs, but
don't think it would work with such a strong color.

But I suspect black would break the visual flow. making the frame seem like a collection of tubes instead of a whole.

Btw, the frame is a lightly modified randonneur design. Randy Noir...

That name is absolutely awesome!
Personally, I would go with chrome lugs if the orange is like I'm thinking it is. Do you have a sample picture of the color?
