I've been trying to design some "alternative" frame designs. Maybe not the lightest or most practical but something interesting. I was wondering if there was any good simple software program for mocking up frames and viewing an analysis of the stress forces. I have an engineering degree, but no longer work in engineering. I remember using some CAD related programs to do this, but their software licenses are ridiculous. So if anyone knows anything open source, free, or at least inexpensive let me know. Thanks!
