Carbon Fiber fork failure -result my wife ended up in the hospital, the ER Doctor said her helmet saved her life . She was lucky only to end up with type 3 AC shoulder separation, bruised ribs, & badly bruised hip one night in the hospital. Six weeks & no riding and severe shoulder pain “20 out of 10 pain level”. We usually ride over 5000K miles a year. Never realized carbon fiber would break so easy, carbon fiber is brittle and not durable.
I will never own another bike with carbon fiber.
It is not worth risking your life to have a slightly lighter bike! Read more »
