Milk snake. Often mistaken (as I kind of did, hence didn't get too close, and was watching for cars and didn't see my finger) for a Massassauga rattlesnake, Ontario's only venomous snake. The Massassauga's range is restricted to Bruce Peninsula and southern end of Georgian Bay coast and is not very aggressive. Milk snakes are common in Ontario (though I've never seen one) and eat mice.

Sleeve nut on steroids. The red dot between the red lines shows the thickness of the sleeve of a open-end nut manufactured to 8-32. The black dots show the additional thickness of the sleeve of a blind-end M5 nut drilled out to 8-32 beyond where the factory threading ended. The head of the nut is also larger, as indicated by the black line.
