Suggestions of a Good Rain Shell
I like to get a good quality rain shell, one that does let you breathe , as the current one i have is compact but when you wear it, sweat like crazy in it
so any suggestions of a good waterproof rain shell that is also nice and compact to fold up in the back pocket
thanks

100% Waterproof and 100% breathable all in one package is a fantasy. No such thing.

The Storm Trooper or She Shell are pretty good. They are what we have ...

Or try a bike poncho (don't forget to use fenders) like this, Rain Capes from People Who Really Know Rain Capes!

From what I understand, they don't make Whoosh jacket anymore, but it was a classic jacket -- quite heavyweight shell, but nicely breathable, plus big pitzips, and a decent whaletail. They were so good, I bought three of them, red, blue and yellow.
The Ground Effects Storm Trooper is lasting quite well, and is my go-to jacket for temps above 15 deg C, and for touring because of the slightly lighter weight and less bulk. Below that temperature and for randonnees, I tend to opt for one of the MEC jackets.

Pretty much. I'm either wet from the rain, wet from perspiration, or both. Nothing a jacket can do about that. I wear a jacket or vest that will block the wind and with appropriate layers prevents me from getting too cold despite being wet. Ventilation can help, so I use jackets for vests that have completely wind permeable backs.
