Rhode Gear Hammerhead?
I have a pair of Rhode Gear Hammerheads, bike mounts that attach to my car roof rack. Last week, I broke the strap that holds the rear wheel in the sliding mount. I called Rhode Gear Customer Service and they said replacement parts are no longer available.
Anybody have any suggestions? (I already thought of the obvious: new roof rack.)
Thanks.

Not a bad idea. I have an old set of platforms with one broken strap. I've been using a bungee cord but didn't trust it for anything other than short hops at moderate speeds.
