Helmet strap rash

Does anyone get a rash from their helmet strap? I have a rash, on both sides, just behind my ear lobes. Is this fairly common? Is it possible that this is due to my strap?

No, never. If your helmet is old and nasty- have you cleaned it?

Nope. First time I've heard of that too.

Helmet strap rash

Could be your skin has dried out from the strap. Try a skin cream or pure olive oil.
I always wear a Buff under my helmet to keep it clean and keep bugs out of my hair - even keeps ears warm

Similar, but different experience.

I get pimples on the back of my neck where the roc-loc from my Giro helmet touches my head.

Do you wash your helmet straps regularly? Although I do not wash my helmet in the winter very often, I wash my helmet two or three times per week in the summer.
