Agree totally. When I bought my road bike a steel frame Diamondback was the last cut. If I had been a racer it would have won. Wonderfully responsive, too responsive for the kind of riding I did. But if I had 2 bikes it would be my hammerfest bike.

I'd ride that bike - but you would have to pay me money to get me in that jersey.

Yeah, I hear you there. It's probably only the second most prestigious jersey in cycling.

Go big, or go home. Go Yellow.

Is that a man or a woman on that bike? Either way, I'd avoid the bike and the jersey unless there was some money in it for me. I can't stand dropbars.

There's a lot of money in it, if you are as good as the guy on the bike was.

I know there's plenty of Huffy haters and uppity road bikers out there. None brave enough to post their real thoughts on this thread though... Haha!

That's only because in order to make the jerseys cost less than the actual bikes, they'd have to make them out of potato sacks...and I hear that burlap doesn't have good moisture-wicking properties...

I was in shorts, T shirt and sandals so I waved back with a big smile on my face. If I was in my kit, the snub would have ruled the road.

You got me on that one. Haha! THAT IS some serious irony. However, I'll awkwardly admit that I did try to look up facetious in the dictionary before posting that. My misspelling was so off base that I couldn't find it so I finally said screw it.

Yeah, but when you are into something specific, and want something bad enough you would pay double for the jersey than you paid for the bike

My point exactly! - though I could not have told you Huffy dude's name - he is, after all, riding a Huffy and therefore seriously beneath my notice.

Phil ... yes -- could be, could be! Probably too much to expect the OP to get it, and not only because he (?) is from away; most of us north of the 49th should have no difficulty.
