Just bought this.....
....Colnago World Cup 105 Complete Bike-2015 | Competitive Cyclist
I swear I didn't get up this morning thinking about buying a bike. But, my son needed to do something physical for his health. And, he loves cycling. Just didn't have a bike. So, a couple weeks ago I let him borrow my Raleigh Cross bike, which I love btw. Apparently, he now loves it too. And, I've been wanting to get a nice Italian roadbike for my 70th birthday next June. I was thinking I'd buy a frame or build one over the winter. Then I stumbled upon this Colnago Cross bike and I had a gift certificate for Competitive Cyclist. And, my son's birthday is coming up in November. The wheels started turning. Buy this Colnago...give him the Raleigh...I don't really "need" another/different roadbike (I have a beautiful Masi and Guru steel) and I get my Italian bike, it's just a cross bike. And, I get to set my son on a path to good health and enjoyment. It's all good.

Interesting bit about why the curved link between top and seat tubes exist. Will you be hefting the bike about over your shoulder to see if it works?
I also like the yellow with the green and red accents.
As to the circumstances, it sounds like win, win, win.

Cyclocross portages with the front wheel down have been out of style for practical reasons for a Long time.
but getting a most famous brand in Italy will certainly Impress your cycling friends ..

Actually I didn't get the yellow. I linked to the black one but apparently you have to go there and click on the black to see it. I like the black w/Italian red, white & green highlights better.
