And you could run a marathon in a pair of wingtips, but if someone posted a question in a running forum, the majority would say it isn't and optimal solution. Right tool for the right job.

OP can make up his own mind. Actually, I hope he gets the aero bars and reports back in the couple of months how it worked out for him.

Go easy... the different riding position uses different cheek muscles. If different saddles and saddle positions has been your lot over these many years, then you won't be surprised to learn that using aerobars does not simplify matters.

I'm not a fan of either due to the fact that the elbow pads are not adjustable fore/aft, something that is usually needed to get in the correct position on a standard road bike. These are a better option- T4+ Aluminum
