I have the Origin8 Classique Tour. Its a narrow upright bar - very close to the North Roads bar used on old English three speeds.

It feels very traditional and gives a balanced upright feel.

On a bike, you will want a Brooks B-67 saddle to balance out this bar. Go wider with the rear and it will fall into place.

I use the Nitto B206 Nordeast bar on my commuting bike. It is a pretty good copy of the GB All Rounder that I used until it broke on me.

Few days after the original post of this thread appeared I went ahead and ordered the Nitto Albatross bar, probably paid more than what I want to spend. I received the bar two days ago I installed it and I have been riding it. I like it so far

Nice!

Is that a first aid pack pannier you've got there?

What brand is it/where did you get it?

It is actually a small handlebar bag that I found at the sport section of our local supermarket store. I just attach it to the rear rack and carry an armor cable, spare tube, tire levers, a multi-tool thing, and some cereal bars. The bag is Schwinn, it is very inexpensive and it is also built with cheap material. Once I save some more money I will buy some real pannier and other accessories to carry luggage on the bike.

What's your top speed on that puppy?

is that reflective tape in blue, on the frame?

That machine is slow as molasses. During my commute I probably go 14 - 17 mph. I usually take my time and enjoy the ride if I am with the schedule, I try to keep it at 13 mph. I like it because I find it very stable and comfortable during the commute in winter. That blue stuff it is reflective tape, my commute is on country roads so it gets really dark and I like to be seen so I have lots of reflective stuff on the bike.

I keep going back and forth between possibilities. Turns out my bike shop doesn't really have ready access to anything I might want, except for the Wald 8095, and I think the rise on that one might be too much. So I'm just going to order a few different bars, get a feel for the rise/angle,and then pick a lucky winner. My current short list includes:

VO Postino (no rise): Amazon.com : Velo Orange Postino Handlebar : Bike Handlebars : Sports & Outdoors

VO Tourist (70mm rise): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004JKEYUO?psc=1

XLC City/Touring (no rise; cheap knockoff of VO Milan?): Amazon.com : XLC City / Trekking Handlebar, 59 Degree, 610mm, 25.4mm, Black : Flat Bike Handlebars : Sports & Outdoors

Anyone have positive/negative thoughts on these bars? Basically, I'd like to be a little more upright (and my stem is already as high up as it will go, I think), with a reasonably natural wrist angle, and not leaning so much on my hands. So I might need SOME rise to reduce the weight on the hands, but who can say....
