V brake caliber

V brake caliber

My v brake caliber is moving side to side when riding what can cause this .

They are calipers, not calibers. Is this happening while not braking? Is the wheel not true - does the rim move side to side and rub against the brake pads?
Or, is this something that happens with braking. Do the brakes stop the bike?

Could it be rubbing against the wheel rim? The wheel may be sightly warped and pushing the brake pads/calipers with each rotation.

which make/model ?


NB: Low cost = sloppy machining tolerances .. anything is 'good enough' when pricing is in Parts of a cent.
